put ESR on some USB storage, plug it into your PS2 and open uLe. use that to copy the ESR .elf file to your memory card. try to find where the rest of the apps are. then use freemcboot configurator to add ESR to your boot options. more details here. specifically the second highlighted section - "configure OSDSYS options".

Biggest difference is modchips can boot disc backups (both PS1 and PS2), import discs (PS1 + PS2), boot .elfs directly from a USB drive, and do some various small graphical fixes that a softmod can't do.

Feb 8, 2022 · Trophy Points: 5. My PS2 model is a silver NTSC-U Slim (90000 series I believe) and I do not own a PS1 console. I've been using FreeDVDBoot for my PS2 backups, and it works great. Using backup DVDs is just as convenient and smooth as using the original PS2 game discs. But now I want to start using PS1 backups, which seems much more complicated.

PVCS 1.3: this is an atari 2600 emulator. i think it has been perfected (not that it would be difficult). the only downside to this is that you can only load roms from a folder in the MC1 slot. Thats basically what homebrew I have on my ps2. I have a slim model SCPH-700012 with Free McBoot 1.8. If you need any more information, feel free to ask.
